Kayne Ryan

Kayne is a former professional tennis player who played on the International Tennis Federation Circuit for eight years, including on the European Tennis Circuit. Having also played extensively on the Australian Tennis Circuit, Kayne reached singles ranking inside the top 100 in the Australian rankings. A highlight of Kayne’s junior tennis career was representing his home state of Western Australia in the National Teams events.

During Kayne’s extensive playing career, he was fortunate to be coached by former international professional tennis coaches. This provided him with valuable experience covering a wide range of coaching methods, which Kayne has adapted in his current approach to tennis coaching. During this time, Kayne developed a strong passion for tennis coaching, and his past experiences include coaching at major tennis clubs in Western Australia, New South Wales, and Hong Kong.

In 2018, Kayne founded the Great Shot Tennis Academy in Hong Kong and has established a broad range of tennis clientele ranging from juniors to adults across various age groups and skill levels. Kayne is extremely passionate about ensuring every tennis lesson improves the student’s game and helps them to progress. Kayne focuses on both tennis skills and fitness while making sure the lessons are vibrant and enjoyable. At the cornerstone of Great Shot Tennis Academy’s quality tennis programmes is Kayne’s simple coaching philosophy – the more balls struck in a lesson, the better the student will become, and their progression will be faster.

Murphy Ho

Murphy Ho has extensive experience both on and off the tennis court. Murphy started coaching part-time for the City University of Hong Kong team after his graduation from the same institute. During his time, Murphy was the tennis team’s seeded player from 1995-1998. During his career in the business world, he served as a private tennis coach for more than ten years. Murphy is still an active competitive tennis player in Hong Kong and is currently a Grade A player in the HKTA league and a Grade A+ player in the Community League. Murphy also joined the Shatin district team in the 5th and 7th Hong Kong Games, where he finished 4th in Men’s Doubles. Murphy is fluent and can conduct lessons in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.

Raffaele Fusulan

Coach Raffaele is always looking to improve his students’ tennis skills while also providing them with a fun and enjoyable environment to grow with the sport.

His tennis journey started at the age of 8 through his father and later joined group lessons to improve his technical skills. At the age of 18 he was recruited to play for Edinboro University, USA where they won multiple championships at the regional and national level.

Driven by a passion for the sport he began coaching both children and adults, gaining 3 years of valuable experience. One of his greatest joys of being a coach is the opportunity to share the wisdom of the sport with his students and witnessing their progress firsthand.

Raffaele enjoys teaching tennis as much as he does training and competing in it. He pays attention to details and provides a great learning atmosphere for students of all ages.

Christine Keyser

Coach Christine returns to Hong Kong after a few years absent and can’t wait to resume her tennis coaching journey here.

Christine first picked up a racquet at age 5, and has loved tennis since!  She enjoys playing and teaching doubles and her favourite shot is  a crosscourt smash.

Her coaching style ranges from fun and energetic with the little ones to strategic and technical with the more advanced players.
Christine coaches using drills, games, and live-ball situations to improve the strategy and tennis ability of the players. She encourage students to develop their mind, body and consistency that is required to compete at any level of the sport.

She can’t wait to see you on court!
